Here’s just a few of the reasons we think you’ll love staying in Farrier’s Cottage:
3D Tour Don’t just take our word for it, why not take the tour and see for yourself. We hope you love Farrier’s as much as we do!
Built in the late 18th Century Farrier’s Cottage is thought to be workers accommodation and barn for Merlin Orsedd windmill, which is located to the rear of Farrier’s Cottage.
On entering the cottage you will find yourself in the large open hallway. There is plenty of room for muddy boots and all your hats and coats! At the end of the hallway to your right you will enter the cosy living room. With leather reclining sofa and Stressless chair and a cosy fireplace it’s the perfect place to relax after a long day exploring Welsh coast and countryside.
The kitchen/dining room can be found just off the living room and is complete with every modern convenience. Oven, hob, fridge freezer, washer/dryer, dishwasher – even a slow cooker – the list of facilities is endless! But whilst the kitchen is all mod-cons the exposed stone wall of the dining area ensures the cottage enjoys the charm and character of the original building.
Cross the hallway from the living room and you will discover a beautiful cottage style bedroom. With a sumptuous king sized bed and luxury linens you’re assured a fabulous nights sleep. En-suite to this charming room is an accessible wet room. In fact the entire ground floor of the cottage is accessible, making it the perfect choice for any family group.
Heading upstairs to the right you’ll find a small home office area – perfect if you can’t just quite escape 100% from the office or need to ‘Work From Holiday Home’. This leads on to a second bedroom with plenty of storage and another luxury king sized bed.
Upstairs to the left and you’re in the twin room, though the zip and link beds magically transform into a third luxury king! The family bathroom nestles between the two bedrooms.
There is parking for two cars. There is a good sized garden with patio area – perfect for al-fresco dining!
All in all the cottage is very tastefully furnished throughout providing a wonderful balance between the charm of the original cottage and the comforts we all love to ensure a wonderful holiday.
The cottage is tucked away down a quiet country lane in the small hamlet of Rhoscefnhir, close to Red Wharf Bay and Benllech, Anglesey. The approach is very rural so care may be needed to avoid the pot holes!
